A Comprehensive Approach to Substance Use Disorders

More than 20 million U.S. adults are diagnosed with substance use disorders every year. Often, those conditions occur alongside mental health challenges, with psychological trauma being a leading risk factor.

Our innovative treatment program provides holistic care. We address both the substance use challenges and any underlying trauma or mental health challenges that cause or worsen them. The result is effective treatment and improved outcomes.

Individual, Group and Family Clinical Therapy

We provide clinical therapy to individuals, groups and families to address substance use issues and accompanying mental health concerns. Treatment focuses on identifying triggers, achieving sobriety, preventing relapses, improving coping skills and addressing negative effects from past trauma. At High Plains Mental Health Center, therapy is client-directed and goal-oriented, with our team of caring professionals empowering you to envision and achieve sustainable recovery.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment is an evidence-based practice to treat certain opioid and alcohol use disorders. Often used in combination with clinical therapy, MAT is effective for helping people achieve sustained recovery with reduced cravings and improved health outcomes. MAT services are available via telehealth in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Peer Support for Sustainable Recovery

Our certified peer support workers are people who have lived experience with substance use disorders. They have been successful in their own recovery processes and can provide valuable insights to others. Through shared understanding, deep respect and mutual empowerment, peer support workers improve engagement in the recovery process and reduce the likelihood of relapses. Peer support services extend beyond office-based clinical treatment to provide support and encouragement in daily life.
